Pavilions Hotels & Resorts will accept cryptocurrency for room reservations starting July 7. The management of the hotel chain says it has signed a partnership agreement with the Coindirect payment system to make payments through the service.
The hotels will accept more than 40 crypto assets, including Bitcoin and Ethereum. Network executives attribute the decision to the fact that digital coins are increasingly being used in retail. The cryptocurrency will be stored in the company’s accounts and can be exchanged for fiat money.
The head of the Pavilions Asian hotel group, Scott Toon, stressed that volatility is not just a problem with cryptocurrencies. He argues that fiat currencies are also subject to price fluctuations.
