American broker Interactive Brokers added four digital currencies to the list of financial instruments. At the moment, residents of the United States with individual or joint accounts can use the crypto-assets. Representatives of the company report plans to enter the markets in other countries with new financial instruments.
The list of cryptocurrencies that Interactive Brokers clients can trade includes: bitcoin, ethereum, litecoin, Bitcoin Cash. The broker charges a commission of up to 0.18%, unlike rival companies that charge 2% commission and spread. Interactive Brokers also claims that no additional fees will be imposed for fiduciary custody.
“The integration of cryptocurrencies aligns with our mission to give active traders and sophisticated investors powerful tools and a wide range of products at low prices,” the broker said in an official statement.
Investors get access to all financial instruments, including cryptocurrencies, through one account, which simplifies the capital management process. Paxos is responsible for adding new products to the trading platform. The use of blockchain infrastructure allows brokers to introduce cryptocurrencies and provide traders with secure access to the cryptocurrency market.
