On 10/15/2021, Brent crude oil rose to $85.02 per barrel as of 3:11 p.m. Above $85 was the highest in October 2018.
Parallel to Brent is the price of WTI products. The value of November futures exceeded $82 a barrel. The surge in quotations is due to the high demand for energy resources and increased concerns about the decline in oil supplies in the near future. The analysts point out the increased interest in oil by more expensive gas and coal.
Oil quotes are likely to remain at a high level for the next few years. Experts of Goldman Sachs forecast growth of Brent price to $90 by the beginning of 2022.
