Bitcoin once again reached a historic high, rising in price by $3,000 per hour. The rate of the main digital currency during the day reached $69,000.
The surge in quotations began after the news about the record inflation in the U.S.. According to the Labor Department of the U.S., the increase in retail prices over the last month exceeded 6% in annual terms. The last time such a rate of inflation was registered in 1990, having reached at that time 6.3%.
The news triggered an increase not only in Bitcoin. Ethereum, Binance Coin and other cryptocurrencies also rose in price.
Bitcoin’s growth is also facilitated by the activity of whales in the market. So, within 5 days, large investors accumulated about $43 thousand BTC.
