Arcane Research presented an analytical report on investors’ general interest in Bitcoin futures. The result of the study showed the cautious attitude of institutional market players to this financial instrument.
On the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, the number of open positions in Bitcoin futures exceeds $11 billion, which is almost 60% less than April’s figure of over $27 billion, with short-term contracts trading at a higher price than those designed for a longer enrichment period. This trend tends to indicate a bearish trend.
Experts say that institutional investors continue to be interested in cryptocurrencies. However, the increased volatility of digital assets lately forces market players to think through every move. Thus, on 22.06.2021 bitcoin price fell below $30 thousand for the first time since January. Analysts do not give accurate forecasts for the next change in the rate of the main digital coin.
