Changpeng Zhao, CEO of Binance, a cryptocurrency exchange, said he was willing to participate in the charity program by donating almost his entire fortune. The billionaire also said he holds Bitcoin and BNB.
The founder and co-CEO of Binance explained his intention to donate 99% of his fortune by his financial independence. Forbes estimates the total value of assets held by Changpeng Zhao at $1.9 billion. The billionaire said he has held bitcoins since 2014. In addition to the main cryptocurrency, his portfolio also includes tokens from the Binance Exchange (BNB).
Zhao is one of the major shareholders of the cryptocurrency exchange he founded. The Wall Street Journal suggests that the Binance platform would have a rough valuation of up to $300 billion if it were to hold an IPO. In September 2021, Zhao announced plans for an initial public offering in the next three years.
